I’m imagining something like a turn based battle window displayed in the center or top of the screen, and you have to control your little guy running around the platforms to jump on the buttons that control the RPG commands
elevator action-like based on the raid
a high school roguelite deck builder (that’s like some sort of meta post-genre genre right guise?) like each class is some sort of dungeon and you … have to befriend people like its grade 7 and its that lord of the flies sort of feeling but if you have too many friends in your party it implodes and they bifurcate into the ‘gary group’ (as in ash vs gary) … and in the game its actually called ‘the Gary group’ … and each stationary item in your pencil case is its own card and yep thats the game
i dunno you should be able to gamble like risk numbers for more numbers … or somethin’ yeah
Trauma Center Action Roguelike.
That’s the whole post.
i do wanna play a game where you have to disguise your voice on the phone using whippets but you also have to deal with the effects of whippets and one of those effects has to be manifested as a helicopter flying in whatever room you’re in while trying to make the call
on the verge of declaring gay furry max payne a project. i made a gun model, ive made a character model by taking an existing one i had and made him hotter. i have a rough outline as to why our protagonist is going to blast his way through hordes of enemies.
F1 Dungeon Racing
During the production of a game one of the VAs, who is well known for the role, dies with the script unfinished. You’re given the job of dubbing the cutscene using what takes of theirs remain, a full script read by a flatter soundalike doing more typical reading, leaving the line subtitles and unread, or removing the line.
A game where you play as Joe Hisaishi and Hayao Miyazaki where you hunt down and assassinate everyone who has ever used Ghibli music for a random mundane food or tourism video
Miyazaki does it in full safari attire with a pith helmet and elephant gun but Joe Hisaishi just wears a tasteful business suit. Gameplay is otherwise functionally identical to the hitman games
The narrative is kind of like X Men First Class with Miyazaki in the Magneto role. He has to demonstrate persuasively that violence is the only appropriate response
a lot of the bigger budget hk action movies have extensive blooper reels, right?
so there’s probably enough footage to be able to turn one of them into a fully functioning laserdisc arcade game, with appropriate fail screens for every prompt
i love the idea of a game contextualizing ur deaths as like fumbled takes… leon gets chainsawed and the camera pulls back to reveal lights and a crew, etc. etc.
the first Prince of Persia remake had him as narrator like “no wait that can’t be right…”
update that patter to the modern age
“fucken bullshit, I frame-perfected that fuckin leap, piece of crap unity default capsule controller shithead”
Spreadsheet Wizard
A game where you play as the ‘wizard’ of a spreadsheet software going on a mystical quest. Magic spells are cast by creating formulas using a table of effects/values. Inventory and map traversal are also handled using table cells
dark souls x spelunker crossover
rick dangerous x druaga crossover
Spiritual Warfare 64
pinball table built into a shopping trolley. instead of penalising tilting, the gameplay is focused on the idea that you’ll be wildly swinging the table around on its wheels
game later recalled after being responsible for many spilled pints and subsequent fights
I will say that a few weeks ago I started working on like, a PC pinball game with a screen-filling ultra-busy labrynthine layout and 18 keyboard buttons dedicated to tilting. I wasn’t necessarily thinking of it as being that tilty but the night is still young with this game and there is much left to explore still…
