MAYBE I WILL (maybe)
An Assassinâs Creed game where you manage the affairs of a clan of Assassins over a series of generations. Make it explicitly about making a few Choices That Matter in each generation and then the next has to deal with the results. Set it in an interesting locale that goes through a lot of political/cultural upheaval over a few centuries. Ottoman Empire, maybe?
Final chapter plays with the whole Animus Software thing by glitching out hard and historical periods start to overlap + you play out the choices you didnât make.
Cut down extensively on the open world cruft.
You probably couldnât even dream of making this game without exploiting your workforce this thing sounds like a massive headache even as Iâm sitting here typing it out.
Anyway thatâs Assassinâs Creed: Dynasty
reverse terraforming mars where the players destroy a planet bit by bit
aka factorio
Not really an idea per se but a stratagem I devised for advanced fighting game theory for Street Fighter II, Alpha, and III:
Stress Chess- Itâs like regular chess with a chess clock, but with the addition of a deck of cards. Each turn you make a move, play a card, then draw a card. The cards have individual missions like âget a pawn to the fourth rankâ or âtake a non-pawn pieceâ, and if you manage to complete that mission on your next turn, your reward is that your opponentâs clock will move faster. Naturally, the board will pulse with the tempo of the active playerâs clock, the ticks will become louder, and the music will become more frenzied as the timer inevitably reaches itâs conclusion.
Im imagining something like the sonic drowning music
how about a chess game that uses eye-tracking and as soon as you look at a piece and look at where you might put it, it completes the move for you.
it would end up a battle of eye discipline moving at an incredible rate.
triple dragon
youâd kind of need to hold the whole board in your head too huh
probably the only way to break the game out of its rut
inspired by the recent animal crossing posts: a harvest moon/stardew valley-alike that has a completely undocumented, unmentioned feng shui/ley lines system that alters your luck, crop yield, etc. depending on where you place things, the colours you decorate your house in, and so on.
in fact, this slight variant might even already exist: a minecraft mod that adds in working dowing rods for finding underground water/treasure, and also ley lines. (though the ley lines would still be undocumented, youâd be able to find them by tracking where things like mountains, villages, desert temples, etc. spawn, and theyâd have more precious minerals underground, crops would grow faster, more frequent thunderstorms maybe?
oh, also because iâve been playing both fallout 4 and immortal taoists recently: open world western-style rpg about chi cultivation
Yakuza Tactics
Give me like, Crusader Kings but youâre just managing a few generations of the Tojo Clan
A NATO Specialist in King Arthurâs Court (Tracked Motion Controllers Required)
active time battle vs fighter
idea i just had for the seinfeld jrpg im making: if you get to use a phone you can call your friends and talk to them about your day / get second opinions on things. like using the codec in metal gear but youâre a normal person
