In a cab at least it does a lot to trick you into feeling the car. I’ve also played it in mame and never registered it when I am usually pretty sensitive to that stuff.

the more time passes the less i care about mother 3. it’s a cool rpg, has great feel and targets someone that should be exactly me. but… even during the first play, it felt like a sort of rote motion compared to earthbound. even if i acknowledge the lessened scope and weird pacing (mostly breathless but meanders in weird places) as part of the “theme”, it’s still a less interesting and enjoyable game to me. it’s something i’m happy to have experienced, and now can be put away and moved on from.
minecraft is a forever game. the horrible person who made it is irrelevant to the unfettered GAME that minecraft presents. there are only a few games i could really honestly vote for over minecraft. i don’t think mother 3 is one of them
