Hyper Duel’s a fantastic shmup from the thunder force people and the last Big Purchase I made in japan as a Gamer (make sure to emulate it as its one of if not the most expensive games for the system). There was also a three year period in my life where Wachenroder was my favourite game ever but time passes.
Ashamed to admit that it’s hard to find the time to play Shining Force 3.
what of it? contemporary reviews bailed because it’s too slippery to control with most peripherals. the wheel was probably your only way to go back in the day. nonetheless, this game is incredible:
it’s very hard, though.
remotely mainstream reviews of racing games are like reviews of shoot’em’ups. useless
i’m still mad at the reviews of Rally Cross (PS1, 1997) that compare it favorably to Sega Rally. like… what? no
on the subject of ps1 sega mockbusters, have you tried rally de africa yet?
rally de europe and africa are great, those ones are legitimately comparable to sega rally (though i wouldn’t put either of them over the original)
maybe this is only obvious with the benefit of many years hindsight, but: rally cross is a respectable game. sega rally is a goddamn masterpiece
I love that an Italian is behind this.
What’s up, SB? The Sega Saturn released in North America on May 11, 1995*. That means it’s almost thirty years old. To commemorate this occasion, I have several games stacked up. I plan to play these over the course of the next four months or so. They are Sōkyūgurentai, Saturn Bomberman, Panzer Dragoon Saga, Sakura Taisen, and Enemy Zero. Who knows, maybe I’ll have time for a few extra.
I invite everyone else on this forum to remember the console in their own way during this time. Maybe someone will play Dark Savior for the first time and love it as much as me. Or maybe someone will try one of the many fan translated games that have popped up over the last decade.
You don’t have to play anything of course. You could just post some sick boxart or developer interviews. I’d love that, too. I love most things about this flawed box.
*Of course I would much rather observe the Japanese release date for this, but I was busy back then and didn’t have the time for this.
I need to finish Dark Saviour and Grandia from like… my god 4-5 years ago.
What is time?
I’m pretty sure Dark Savior answers that question
i keep wondering if its worth it to actually sit down and play Mr. Bones or if it’s just something that should remain in my life as a weird youtube compilation of cutscenes that keeps occasionally popping up in my feed every couple of months
I’ve got something like a hundred Sega Saturn games in this apartment. I think once I put the 360 away I’ll pull my Saturn out for the first time since my kid was born and try every single one of those games.
That’ll only take like six months.
Hell yeah
Maybe I’ll finally build that Sega Saturn model kit I was gifted ages ago
Executive dysfunction is a b
i’m going to try writing some kind of essay about panzer dragoon saga soon, it’s such an obsessive point of fascination for me and i want to figure out exactly why
saturn is the best console
