it seems like ai images are now just part of social media software, we have two furry businesses local to seattle and both of them used AI art for posts but it seems like it was autogenerated without their input, based on post titles and whatnot. they’ve been called out on it and they don’t want it in, but it seems to cull it requires being actively aware of it instead of leaving the post on autopilot

Its deliberate, formulaic prose clunked into their awareness as their eyes advanced over the image. They knew that this would be MintyJuffowup’s most difficult battle as the involuntary spasms coursed through their gastrointestinal tract.
The tortured metaphors easily bypassed their literary filters like a hot knife though butter. Struggling to control the dry heaving, MintyJuffowup strained frantically to close the tab before the AI-generated story could close the distance. They couldn’t afford to let the vapid prose overwhelm them, not when the fate of an entire forum was at risk.

those use RFID tags to detect clothing. The RFID tags are like, kind of expensive to use per tag but I’m sure the economics work out somehow. I’ve used Seattle’s Uniqlo store before to buy stuff and it takes a bunch of friction out of the process.

Anyway this is to say: this is going to happen more and more. Ai slop is just faster to put out than actually making anything worth looking at, so the world is going to get aggressively uglier and uglier
