Placing my bets on it being Master Chief (spartan 117 or whatever), to be released on 1/17.
The numerology is too compelling for me to exercise common sense.
There are 12 white dudes with swords currently in Smash.
They outnumber even the 10 white dudes that mostly punch and kick.
Both Mii Brawler and Mii Swordfighter should be included considering their default portraits but let’s be generous.
Pit and Dark Pit and should be included but okay, let’s go along with that they are wielding a very sharp bow that can be split in two and swung around.
Please, let’s try to control the white sword guy population and remember to neuter if you have your own.
(still consulting with the jury on if a keyblade is or is not a sword)

I’ve been thinking that them wanting to get a Sony-associated character in at some point is a possibility at least and being pretty tame to the idea because who else would even somewhat fit Smash besides Crash. Hadn’t considered Kat though who would be cool actually but with Gravity Rush being as dead as it is…
here’s where I talk about how Kat was a DLC character in PSASBR and was so hilariously broken that she singlehandedly upended the entire balance of the game until the game got its giant balance patch (you might remember this balance patch came on the same day as the Smash 4 direct so everyone ignored it)
somebody give me a price if it’s a Sakura Wars character (a series I have never actually touched)

Well we are getting the Fire Emblem retrospective variety show.
man i also haven’t played smash in like a year but it is hard to imagine anyone wanting this
