Not for nothing but Dogurai here has been popping up on this list for a couple years now but it has actually, finally been released. No idea if it is supposed to be any good at all, but I dig the GB aesthetic it has going for it.
I think there is only a tiny chance this won’t be handled well at all >_>

Dogurai is a retro-styled platformer with animal-like characters, graphics and soundtrack designed with old portable games in mind - down to the limited color ranges and sprite sizes!
