The graphics and music are togglable between the new and old on the switch version.
I canāt speak to latency but a second hand office projector (make sure the bulb works) will be leaps and bounds in resolution and brightness above any of those sub $150 guys with the photos of kids playing Xbox on their ceiling on the box.
Iām enjoying the Radical Dreamers edition and itās mainly because of the fast-forward button, really helps. The graphics seem good to me but the backgrounds probably looked way better on the original resolution and whatnot.
i cant help but comment that its insane to me that everyone is fast forwarding through the chrono cross battles, which are awesome. the original game makes you wait until NG+ to do this for a reason!!!
thereās a demo disc for neo geo cd called āneo geo cd specialā, and the fandom dot com wnk wiki says this about it:
but i canāt find any more mention of these possible extra eggs anywhere on the internet, let alone what the conditions are for getting them
I had this disc. Maybe I can mess with it on the Mister soon.
this is me but for baten kaitos
RELAY COMBO
post cannot be empty
Is the GBA version of FFV decent? I did some searching and found out that the GBA version of IV was pretty wacky. I really liked the Wonderswan version of FFI and would be really delighted to find FFV was at all similar.
most FFV releases are more or less identical actually
like, it was never localized back in the day, it never got a 3D remake, the GBA port is fine, the PS1 port is fine, even the hideous mobile ports from a few years ago feel arguably the most suited to its graphics
it already had optional bosses so it didnāt need more, theyāre pretty much all mechanically identical afaik
Yeah I was mostly curious about the PS1 vs GBA versions. Because, having played the Origins version of FF2, those disc load times definitely cause some things to drag. But the changes to that version made it hard to regret putting up with longer screen transitions and menu navigation.
yeah def play gba over the ps1 port
itās fine, though the extra jobs while interesting only unlock very very late (maybe even post credits?)
idk how region locking or blu rays work but would a uk ps4 be able to play the gregg araki blu ray collection⦠iāve been thinking about trying to catch up on the last few years of sony exclusive stuff but itād be nice to watch imported movies on the thing too
https://www.criterion.com/boxsets/7581-gregg-araki-s-teen-apocalypse-trilogy
nah ps4ās are blu ray region locked. I think you can play region locked bluās on a softmodded ps3 pretty easily tho.
ps4s are br region locked
itās relatively easy to hack a ps3 and change itsblu ray region, though inexplicably not its dvd region. also i got a ps3 preowned for Ā£30 a few years ago so itās a lot cheaper than an actual br player too.
another thing to know, though, is that surprisingly few blu rays are actually region locked. a lot of publishers wil say that their discs are locked even though they arenāt. mill creek and (mostly) sentai filmworks, for example. this sounds great, but it also means itās near impossible to find out what actually is or isnāt locked.
https://www.blu-ray.com/ is a good place to check the regions of releases. Almost all of criterionās stuff is region locked unfortunately. They list the titles that arenāt region locked on their website
Pretty sure PS4s v11 and under can be hacked now
probably! i hadnāt looked into it since itās still my main current console
has anyone here played the surge or the surge 2 and is either of them anything at all?
I played both their demos and thereās some neat limb-based stuff but the gameās world and enemies are a little dull. Good case study of early Soulslikes trying to find their feet.
