I guess I brought it up because I can identify it by feel but canāt seem to put it to words.
Hard to find a more imaginative and stylish video game world, even with all thatās been done since.
Can I use a 360 or PS3 fightstick on PS4?
labzero made a driver for direct input ps3 sticks and released it for others to use but it had to be implemented by game so you need to look each up. i recall xrd not supporting ps3 sticks but i havenāt kept up
if you get a brook adapter you can use them of course. i think this is the only way for an xbox stick

youāll still need a ds4 handy for the system interface, audio, etc
Seriously. I canāt even figure out who the designer/artist was.
seconding a brook adapter. my ps3 stick worked on (iirc) sf5 and a couple older arcsys games but devs largely stopped caring about it implementing support a few years into ps4 stick availability
happy with both my ps4 and xbox adapters fwiw
is it just me or is pog-flavored stuff (passion fruit, orange, guava) making a bit of a comeback?
not just you. itās an industry-driven trend over the last couple of years

has anyone played BOOTS QUEST DX it looks charmingly offbeat in a @thecatamites sort of way
Yes, Boots Quest is good. It has a little more depth than you might expect. (I think itās intentionally misleading in that way.)
The creator puts out some nice music, too.
i liked it, itās very light moment to moment but thatās balanced out by the feeling of piecing together this big links awakening map of connected single-screen locations and occasionally having your sense of that space expand or contract in a fun way, i wrote about it for the ball with feet zine too
I forget if I asked this before but I played through the beginning of Resident Evil 7 thanks to PS+ and at the very least it starts of very strong, but a bit curious if it is possible to basically screw yourself over in terms of resources and such. Obviously I doubt you can just fire your gun blindly at all times and suffer no repercussions, but as mentioned previously I literally cannot finish Resident Evil 1 due to always running out of things and just donāt have the patience for that kind of stuff any longer.
I donāt think itās likely. RE7 was hugely popular so Iād guess they tuned the resource economy to be a bit more generous than usual, especially in normal.
If you are even a little bit conservative with ammo and when Not to pull the trigger you will end the game buried in ammo. Was actually shocked there was no āuseāem if you got 'emā segment towards the end.
Like I might have walked out of a boss-fight with nothing, but was quickly replenished. And thatās of course never wanting to use the overpowered weapons that I could have just used.
If you ever get nervous about RE games you can always watch a moderate-speedrun to see how much easier the game is than you think.
Is there an easy way to still play Street Fighter X Tekken online? I never played it but was wondering if the game is effectively dead.
I donāt have the game but this is what googling told me; this all pertains, I think, just to the PC version:
You have to install MSās āGames for Windows - LIVEā, and a fan-made āOnline Patch,ā both of which are linked at the top of the above page.
Thereās a little more about the Online Patch here:
It also says the Online Patch is not compatible with the āCommunity Mod Patch,ā so donāt install the Community Mod Patch if you want to play online.
From the Discord (which lists this link as the one to link to it āthat does not expireā: Street Fighter X Tekken ā although Iād originally got to it through this link Street Fighter X Tekken that I found at Street Fighter X Tekken ā Fighting Games Online ):

Apparently you can still buy the game, via a āGLOBAL Steam key,ā here: https://www.gamestop.com/products/street-fighter-x-tekken/525154.html

Video (and information in the description on the YouTube page) on getting the online working:
Again, I donāt have the game so havenāt tried any of this myself. But people on the Discord are definitely talking about it like the online is working, and there are recent-ish videos purporting to show online sets on YouTube.
Thanks for the thorough answer. Will check these and see. I assume the Steam ver on the gamespot link doesnāt have the hack exploit
the steam version presumably still uses GFWL like other Capcom games of the era so it should work tho? it probably only came out on steam on PC anyway
