Random question, anyone able to tell what these characters are
ĺ looks like it means âsuperfluousâ, 犴 means âholeâ; neither of them seem right though do they
ć is a first-person pronoun. THE first-person pronoun in Chinese i think. again though it doesnât look QUITE right does it
hm! oh well. best of luck
I think these might be invented characters in the style of Japanese calligraphy, designed to look at once familiar and alien.
The first one does look a little like a simplification of ç, a very rare character which means âblazing fireâ. That might be either a coincidence, or an Easter egg for anyone who tries to look it up in a dictionary like I just did.
Yeah these donât seem real to me
It even looks like the strokes are being made with different motions than you would with traditional Chinese characters. I mean, I donât know whatâs going on with that left hook on the white one.
This unanswered reddit question supposes that itâs sanskrit. Is that a possibility? I know thereâs sanskrit characters on the background borders in the PC version, but theyâre stylized differently.
i was gonna also suggest that it could be sanskrit
it doesnât look like the siddham script used elsewhere in the game, I think the only reply there is conflating it with this bit:
The second one looks more like Siddham than the first one. Here is the official Unicode Siddham example font:
The two little strokes on the right look like
115BE near the bottom middle. And itâs combined with⌠11580 on the top-left I think? It looks drawn by a calligrapher who usually writes kanji so the style is quite different. But I can see a correspondence in the strokes.
The reddit thread dementia linked has one reply saying âthey are very likely bijaksharas, which are nonsense syllables which can have ritualistic meaningâ.
New theory: perhaps these are characters that the artists observed in a Buddhist temple? (That would explain why the first character is in a different script, as there are all kinds of symbols with different origins displayed in temples.)
Wouldnât a USB Mic be enough? Itâs a Blue Yeti⌠does the PS5 party chat (or PS5 discord) have an algorithm to remove game/online-voice-chat from the mic? I feel like it might get messy playing the PS5 remote and having the PC steamlinked to the TVâŚ
the unicode font is definitely misleading, 11580 looks like this in a more typical style
which is just an /a/ sound
googling the bijaksharas, this is âaḼâ in siddham
which does have a resemblance, so may be a calligraphic interpretation of a bijakshara actually does make sense
Well, this is a technically difficult problem, so you may unfortunately have to go out of your way to have a decent chance of it working properly. Iâm mainly pessimistic here because Iâve had so, so many terrible experiences with hybrid-remote conference room meetings at work. And those are unified setups without any music/sound effectsâŚ
IMO, having both the speaker and mic controlled by one PC should give you the greatest chance of success. PCs have the most configurability, and you want one single piece of software aware of all audio.
As for the algorithm, basically all voice-chat software should have some such algorithm, the question is how well does it actually work. I suggested Discord because itâs a very thoroughly debugged piece of software that considers game voice chat as a core feature.
And sure, the Blue Yeti sounds fine to start with. I mostly wanted to say that in general, buying different hardware should eventually be on the table as another thing to consider in the event you canât get this to work properly. (Probably different gamer hardware, not business hardware, on second thought.)
As a last resort, the one solution I am 90% sure would work fine is to shelve both your speaker and mic, buy two closed-ear gamer headsets that have a âcan properly hear people speaking next to youâ mode, and in the voice-chat configure a targeted mute of just each otherâs voices. That isolates everything at the hardware level, so the rest of the setup can be anything you like.
This was my guess too!
Managed to snag myself a ps4 with a low enough firmware to pirate games on. Any games youâd reccomend I download for this besides the sony made exclusives? Iâd love to know about the rare current gen ps4/xbox console exclusives. Bonus points if its obscure definitive versions of a game like the DMC Devil May Cry current gen console version where its the only way to play the game in 60fps, or certain console rereleases like Everhood having exclusive content not on pc.
That godzilla game that was delisted?
is there a thread for magazine ads for videogames
Would it be jacked up if i made a blu-ray garage sale thread in the Axe
do it
