I feel like he’s already basically the main antagonist in 2 though it IS weird to think of him this way

the only adventures game i’ve put real time into are day of the tentacle, myst, and labyrinth of time (a bit of journeyman project as well) so there’s a lot to explore. thinking about doing one of the indiana jones? maybe loom? full throttle? give me your recs

My Sony Linkbuds S (the solid ones, not the ring ones) are pretty good and go on sale for ~$130. I know it’s not cheap, but that’ll at least give you an upper limit.

I have no experience with it, but Pentiment is on sale on Steam right now, and it has adventure game vibes from the looks of it.

Full Throttle, Full Throttle, and when you’re done, play Full Throttle again

I’m also the world’s only The Dig fan, definitely play that

Fate of Atlantis is probably the best Indy game but in practice I find them all a little staid and underwhelming. There’s just some kind of pop missing.

Sam & Max is great, as is Monkey Island (contrary to everyone else, I don’t think any of the sequels are that good and you can stick with the first one)

The original broken sword is one of my favorites. Witty script, charming visuals and animation, plus the OST is impeccable. Just a shame about the low bitrate.

Grim Fandango’s worth playing.

the remastered version of grim fandango with cursor controls also works through scummvm. it’s a pretty good story but I don’t think it ever gets enough credit for how psychotically bad it’s puzzles are though
