Quick Questions XV: Episode Prompto

I’d recommend The Last of Us as whatever one’s thoughts on it, it is the example of that sort of game so seeing what that entails has some value even if it is just finding out how much you personally don’t care for that school of design. Dead Space in contrast is just a random game where whether you like it or not you are likely in the same place with the same basic knowledge afterwards.

you can definitely just play the ps4 port and save a bundle though

Oh yeah, the remaster is from all I’ve heard a complete waste of time.

Dead Space pissed me off from the beginning by hinting a promise at caring about your main guy being an engineer and doing simple HL2esque engineer things on a dying spacecraft but then it was just RE4 but worse.

SOMA and Alien Isolation are what I wanted from Dead Space.

Dead Space kind of cool for just having squishy gooey wriggling guys tryna kill you and blasting em.

I’ll take a look at what I downloaded, but some off the top of my head are Resident Evil 7, Wipeout, No Heroes Allowed VR. People seem to like Blood & Truth and Until Dawn: Rush of Blood, but I could never tell why from the trailers. There’s that FF15 fishing game- I’m sure it’s pretty small in scope compared to other fishing games out there but I found it pretty fun. Might have just been the novelty of fantasy fishing over real fishing.

Is Hitman VR on PC? That’s real neat. Thumper, Rez, Tetris Effect, Moss- though those might have been ported to PC too.

There’s a shooting game I’m trying to think of but can’t recall the name. I’ll check it later.

Are there any missables in the new yakuza or can you take your time?

Which one, Ishin? If so, that sounds like a substantial remake so it’s hard to tell based off knowledge of the first one either way.

No missables, I reckon

Haven’t played Ishin yet, but starting around Yakuza 4 they’ve designed the Yakuza games so that as long as you want to go and do the side content you won’t be locked out of them. The rewards and achievements even still count if you don’t complete sidestories with the best outcome.

Is there a Project Zomboid mod that makes the game operate on Resident Evil rules? (firearms only attract zombies within about 1-building range, maybe some special mutant types)?

EDIT: So after getting Zomboid downloaded again I discovered, Hey!, this is actually part of the base game now! The game now has a bunch of zombie behavior modifiers including dampening their response to sound. Makes firearms actually worth playing around with for how big of a pain in the ass they are to use.

did they ever add any more ps classics to buy on psn after that first few?

Yes, and they just added three today, apparently.

Didn’t someone get a prison sentence for selling cheats in a game recently? I thought this was related to Bungie, but maybe not.

not sure how anyone would end up in prison unless prosecuted by the DoJ under the CFAA (they reserve that for academic activists (rest in power aaron schwartz))

bungie won a huge suit against aimjunkies recently but it was all civil penalties — essentially breach of the LSLA and damages for the business hit
