It’s really on a game by game basis. I got owned when Yakuza 7 didn’t let me transfer my save to the free ps5 upgrade halfway through my playthrough. That said, I think most games let you do it.
Heard that PS4 version plays it at 60FPS on a ps5 which would be better for me (resolution i can take or leave) but if they’re able to patch the PS5 version later on to make it more consistent then I could migrate over.
Pretty sure this is not the best place, but I wouldn’t know in which other thread I should post this:
I have a super sweet spot for QWERTY devices, and this is tempting me. I am not completely sure that this is not a scam, though… and, apart from this, what would you guys think of the form factor vs price vs specs? Should I just drop the idea and concentrate on mid-high end smartphones from the usual players?
ah geeze i’ve been wanting this exact thing for years but
that’s really expensive…
The answer to this question is always yes, for any given weird idea. You might find something you can attach as a USB/Bluetooth peripheral instead
that keyboard looks too big to be a thumbboard and too small for real typing.
this hair tho:
I have $10 left on a gamestop gift card what should I buy with it
3rd party n64 memory card
trade it for weed
Half a USB cable
Thank god for usb-c now I don’t even need to think about which half
Real answer is I can’t find anything else worth buying so I’ll just turn it into a xbox gift card and take a bit off the top of Elden Ring
It started out as $50 and they had smt v on sale for $35 + tax so my total comes in at $49.77 and I can live with that
Has anybody played Corpse Party? i am thinking to get it for the Switch. i always read dividing opinions on it, how is it liked around here?
Hattteeddddd it. The sound design and horror stuff is incredible. However, you can feel the developers jerking off to every sexualized murder and dismemberment. The sequels are entirely jerking off on high school girls (OR YOUNGER) being killed.
I was fuming with rage by the end of playing it, and that it was recommended, and that people I respect the opinions of liked it.
are there easy ways to get emulators working for ios? like dreamcast and earlier
Either compile, sign, and sideload your own builds of e.g. RetroArch or use AltStore to sideload them
yeah there are like 3-4 emulators that maintain build scripts for iOS that are relatively easy to compile – it’s like, Retroarch, ScummVM, a dedicated DS emulator (I think?) and an out of tree Dolphin port. Altstore is pretty usable, making your own builds isn’t much worse
dumb question i can’t find by googling:
do digitally-downloaded games take up the same hdd/ssd space as disc-based games on say, PS4/5 Xbox One/Series X? being old means i remember when having a disc meant less install space, but i feel like that isn’t true for newer consoles?
as recently as the PS3, games would only do “partial installs” when you’re running off the blu-ray (in some cases they would actually stream assets from both the blu-ray and the hard drive simultaneously to squeeze more performance out which I thought was cool), but now I think putting a blu-ray into the console will just install the whole thing in the background 90% of the time
yeah i’m mostly trying to decide how i want to buy Stranger of Paradise and one of those ways involves walking into a Gamestop and the other means i get it tomorrow. and ideally one of these ways takes up less space, but i have a feeling they are the same
edit: ok sorry i just compared myself and the answer is that they are seemingly mostly the same save a gig or two
