the only good thing about ps1 wing commander 3 compared to pc is it cuts out the nonsense “personality overlay” explanation cutscene for the traitor character and leaves it implied that they had a change of conscience over the use of planet killing weapons. I don’t think the ports are supposed to be that great but then I got some enjoyment out of the terrible snes port of ultima 7 once because at the time I couldn’t for the life of me find pc ultima 7 to pirate on 1998 internet. I don’t know how wing commander is in the year 2020 cause I played them a million times in the 90s and like sierra games have no way of objectively examining them like that at this point
play them in order, and check out shadow tower after KF2!
thanks friends
i have played like five hours of shadow tower abyss and it seemed cool
does anyone know where is safe to download cracks for PC games? Looooong time ago I used to use gamecopyworld but that website seems so sketchy I’m a little scared to download exes from it
honestly I’m a little rattled, cause last night I tried to play Peter Jackson’s King Kong and when I restarted my computer it wouldn’t boot into windows properly and I had to use a restore point to get back in, and I have no idea what happened.
gamecopyworld is still ok afaik but more often you can just get them along with the game on rarbg
can you imagine getting punk’d by a pirated copy of peter jackson’s king kong and losing all of your shit? all for peter jackson’s king kong?
for want of peter jackson’s king kong the kingdom kong was lost.
‘It wasn’t beauty that bricked the PC’
alright. I feel like if Felix can trust gamecopyworld then I have nothing to worry about
video game killed the pc hard drive
pictures lost, it broke your heart
you can’t restore now, it’s gone too far
oh-uh-oh-oh-oh
Well, they’re a somewhat shallow starfighting minigame with a mostly linear branching TV-sci-fi story framing it. The aesthetics are kind of middlebrow. WC1/2 are more inspired by Top Gun, WC4 is trying to do a Deep Space Nine thing and WC3 is the one I didn’t play. There is probably some kind of dive-into-90s-dead-ends aesthetic value to get out of them in 2020 in the Frog Fractions 2 spirit.
I didn’t know there were PS1 ports but from first principles, lack of thumbstick and poor CPU and max resolution probably degrades the gameplay sections a lot.
I’m trying to remember the name of this game, and nothing I google is turning up anything.
- You and multiple players select a different character, each one wears a different colors. There’s like, a red lady, and somebody in yellow, I think, etc.
- Each round, you select where in town you go
- You just need to survive
- I think you can turn into a vampire or werewolf?
- It plays like a boardgame
It’s on Steam. Does anybody know what this is?
sounds like The Yawhg
some switch questions
have played p much all of the obvious games i’d be into on this and it’s just gathering dust until the moon translation, botw2 etc. start to show up… anything cool i might have missed?
i do plan to have a look at the esprade port when it isn’t ₤55, which brings me to: i have an ancient modded agetec dreamcast stick with an xinput pcb, anyone recommend a particular converter? i assume the brook or mayflash things are both good
Can recommend the Mayflash adapter and works well with PS4 controller and has funtionality for other controllers (I’ve not tested). Got it after investigating Joycon drift and realising there isn’t really a good solution.
Is anyone else seeing the weird youtube embeds on the forum?
yeah, i believe they updated the forum earlier. so twitter embeds work now.
they’re not showing up any different for me
This is a recent post in the ‘Your song of the moment’ thread.
I’m using Chrome and it only appears to be affecting recent embeds. Old youtube embeds look totally fine though.
it’s because the video “thumbnail” it’s using now is only 690px, and i don’t know if it’s doing that on this side or not. can’t fuck with stuff anymore, but i bet it could be resolved easily.
when you play the video, it plays it at the full width of the embed.
