Collection of terrible videogame voice-acting fwiw.

p103 is a pretty straightforward account of Takeshi’s Challenge by a Western academic. Journal also has some of the same spirit in terms of its call but not sure about most.

Why does tingle wear a clock on his necklace?

my first guess is that it’s part of majora’s mask’s clock/time motif, and has been kept around long since it lost relevance

granted, i can’t remember how prominent clocks were in MM’s visual design (aside from the main clock tower) so i’m not sure if they were actually a recurring motif in the game

The main town being Clock Town and that being Tingle’s first appearance makes me feel like that’s where it’s coming from.

and throw in a bit of Peter Pan lost boy and the clock motifs in that; Tingle’s like Captain Hook dressing up as Peter Pan instead of a pirate

Because he knows what time it is

What’s the best difficulty to play Wario Land 4?

Normal, for sure. Hard reduces your health to 1 at the beginning of the level and you really have to engage with a normally inconsequential mechanic to restore health by killing enemies. It hurts the pacing a lot.

Most enjoyable on normal

This is just a request in advance that if any of you see a website doing a giveaway (in the U.S.) of the Xbox mini fridge, let me know so I can enter.

It feels like the kind of thing I’d actually win

Just glancing PrBoom has been ported to it, so any wad Boom compatible like Ancient Aliens should theoretically work.

Devil May Cry 3 question! I have the HD version, should I activate the Freestyle option, or will it trivalize/break the game?

freestyle is standard, play the game like it’s special edition on PS2

nothing about the combat design is broken by style switching, it just gives you a huge buff to your combo options but you need to get to a certain level of skill for it to even matter.

plus–freestyle is just super fun

Yeah, freestyle is good. It’s the one feature everyone just thought should have been there from the start, so it is good that it is there. Also, dear god, please start on Normal and not Hard (which was Normal in the US original release and is a rough place to start; doable, as in I did it, but…).

And yeah, the whole game is about building ridiculous silly combos by switching through your gear, so freestyle just gives you a new way to do that, so go for it.

Thanks guys! I’ll do so.

Does anyone have any tips what to do with a PS4 that technically connects to a router but won’t actually load anything? Mine worked fine until this week when comcast did ā€œnetwork maintenanceā€ and now it just doesn’t do anything. I know it updated the router and at least one setting as it also knocked my roku out of service until a switched the security type back to something else, but I can’t figure out what the heck to do to fix it here.
