Quick Questions XIII: Answers Return

My PS1 collection is starting to outgrow the current storage bins I have, so I’m wondering if there are any decent options for CD towers that are easily available in 2019 and can accommodate a reasonable amount of multi-disc jewel cases. I realize the answer is probably not, and some sort of IKEA bookcase is probably more versatile and a better option, but I don’t have a car (or regular access to one) and the nearest one is over an hour away

i also once stumbled upon a related niche, the zako fandom, who are guys who get off on female enemies in beat em ups, and also seeing them having painful moves performed on them by male player characters

Dunno if you’re still looking but I think No More Heroes plays with this a bit. It at least looks like the screen will at least shake diagonally on some kill slashes.

I haven’t won this fight yet; recently a bunch of moves were updated with this slow, swimmy camera shake that I assumed was just added to represent far-off explosions (it feels like a shockwave passing over a body) and I realized the camera engineer did it because he thought it was a good idea.

I underestimated how much he wants to shape this and…it’s an ongoing process.

if you had an australian accent you could try to take his cinematographic aspirations down a notch by calling him “roger dickheads”

that went completely over my head!

Extremely cryptic Roger Deakins joke I think?

at the most basic level, [vilem] flusser views natural and cultural phenomena alike as clusters of particles that can be broken apart and rearranged into other relational configurations. citing, democritus, his metaphors describe the world as grains of sand that coalesce into “islands” and dissolve again in nature’s “river” of entropic cycles of random, temporary information creation, a process humans want to harness to create new objects and environments intentionally that are more suited to their needs and desires.

since jersey shore, mtv has made a bunch of other “shore” shows. they brand them as “mtv shores.” they are the last things on mtv to reflect youth (at least rich youth) culture.

are there any other philosophers that have some kind of metaphor or syntheses relating to shores, beaches, docks, piers, etc.?

Are there any good keycasting / keystroke visualizers for Windows? I need one for some tutorial videos. Carnac is almost good, but is a little messy, and it doesn’t visualize mouse input. (The fork that visualizes mouse input does so incorrectly.)
