Quick Questions XIII: Answers Return

yeah in practice it’s fine i guess, i lose mine sometimes and moan about the whole situation until it shows up

i don’t think there’s a compelling reason to upgrade from a 6s right now though if you’re happy with it and can get a repair

yeah I wouldn’t upgrade from a 6s to anything short of an X, but there will probably be more options that are not short of an X a few months from now

Are you talking about the self-titled Need for Speed or the newer one, Payback?

Need For Speed s/t

I played Payback for like an hour and a half and it never let me just drive around on my own, it was horrible

does shadow of chernobyl Just Work on a modern system or are there a bunch of essential mods etc.

people go crazy recommending mods with stalker but it should work “just fine” vanilla imo

From a technical standpoint I have no idea but from a gameplay standpoint I played it absolutely vanilla and thought it was fantastic.

I have Witchered once.

Good god that was some jank, from start to finish. I’m just thankful it held together towards the end, aside from crashing in the middle of fights with more than three people in Chapter IV.

I am very much on board with this universe’s particular brand of fantasy horseshit.

the jp version of wetrix gb is a black cartridge (compatible with original game boy, enhanced on gbc), while the western versions are clear cartridges (game boy color only)

is there any actual difference between the games themselves, though?

Did that thread about which keyboard to buy get axed? About music keyboards not typing keyboards. I wanna buy a keyboard and was hoping to read through it.

Absolver is free on PSN, but I haven’t heard many of you talk about it… so… is it bad?

it’s remarkable, more so from a small team – at minimum I would describe it as a more interesting, less overproduced for honour. But it wasn’t quite good the last time I checked like a month after release.

It’s a multiplayer godhand whose scope doesn’t really work at all? among other things. Definitely check it out while it’s free, it doesn’t waste your time at the start, but it doesn’t really go anywhere from there.

It was definitely the less disappointing big Devolver Unity project last year, compared to strafe.

There is a thread now.

I know it’s still getting revised in various ways, but is there anything out there that can be considered true successor to SvenCoop? Either as a full game or a mod for something else. Not just the coop but having a wide range of different maps that do bizarre things, with an emphasis on discovering these things together. I haven’t really paid attention to FPS…anything.

I strongly suspect that the most likely answer is G(ary’s)mod, which I don’t know much about but which seems to have sustained a pretty big and diverse creative space for over a decade? But, like, is there anything else?

Probably games like Roblox or even Minecraft when modded to hell?

Does anyone know a way to batch process .eml files into PDFs?

local copies of mail databases, especially Outlook’s, are really horrible to work with; you’d probably have to grab a library like https://github.com/GOVCERT-LU/eml_parser to get it into plaintext formatted in a way you’re happy with and then just run a PDF printer in a shell script

or at least that’s what I would do in a similar situation

not a huge job, only a few hours of work
