psychedelic games

Jason Rohrer’s Inside a Star-Filled Sky reaches for a similar feeling by letting you dig into deeper and deeper realities by entering objects

This game has all sorts of pyschedelic segments

I think Max Payne’s dream levels fall into this category because of the stretchy level geometry. Maybe it’s just your perspective that’s stretchy? Even if so, it fooled me

Here’s an exclusive file containing the whole La La Land series, converted to run on modern Windows versions:

I would like to try this, but I am very bad at (and don’t really enjoy) timing-based games. Is it easy, or does it have an easy mode?

you probably wont like it much :frowning:

Extreme Evolution: Drive to Divinity

was released yesterday. I've played it for an hour or so thus far, and it's one of the most psychedelic games I've encountered.

If you’ve ever played the Space Hole games (same developer), this is more accessible (though maybe still slightly confusing for the first minute or two) while also more varied and expansive. Just more everything. Although there are still discrete areas, you discover them in a way that makes them feel interconnected.

The music and sound design are excellent, too.

I don’t think screenshots can really represent this game well, but here are a few anyway.

Even cats appreciate Extreme Evolution: Drive to Divinity.

The soundtrack is now on Bandcamp, incidentally. I’m listening to it right now.
