i thought it was some mashup of duck tales and pokemon at first and then i was like “no there’s only one duck, what are those other ones”

italy was also my first thought but i think its spain actually, 'cause fuecoco is a portmanteau of spanish words and is a chili pepper
also yeah uhhhhhh boy howdy this thing is comin pretty fast and outta nowhere. i sure hope the labor practices will be normal (im certain they wont be)
i also feel like theyre announcing this thing pretty early into its development, despite how soon its release date is, just because uhhh … well the starters didn’t show up in the trailer? which makes me wonder if they’ve even been modeled yet or if the suigimori art is all that there is

this Arceus game is so weird. in some parts it’s like chill-lo-fi BOTW-like to catch Pokemon to, and other times it’s still the same pokemon-ass Pokemon with the same opening slog, repetitive grinding and characters that move, talk and act like anime Disneyland robots
but i think i’m enjoying my time with it? i didn’t pay full price & the visceral feeling i get sneaking up and beaming a Bidoof in the back of the head with a pokeball like i’m Agent fuckin’ 47 keeps me coming back

The recent trailer/Pokemon direct thing may have actually killed my froth. Can’t say why I was just watching this and inside I just felt like, cold.
Stuff relevant to the new game starts at 10mins. Maybe I just need greater novelty these days.

i cannot believe that the lizard who is clearly designed to look like a big chopper with its massive little antenna things just runs around instead of also being a motorcycle. i dont give a shit if its supposed to be the like “primitive” one, nintendo, i want to ride on my dragon harley

i am actually eager about the gyms being any order, tho. between black & white 2 having you start in a totally different part of the region to the original games (and taking part a few years later) and thus having a different gym order, and the Pokemon Origins ONA clearly showing that Brock had different teams to chose from and specifically chose his weakest because Red didn’t have any badges yet, i have been waiting for one of the games to finally pick up on the idea. I’d be more interested if it was like, there were different places you could start rather than ‘its open world just go wherever’, but its still neat to me
i’m a sucker, i’ll probably buy this. pokemon games about battling have only ever been actually good video games exactly once (pokemon colosseum, don’t @ me), though B&W got close. so like, the game probably being mid is fine i’m just there to see the fun friends, its not like it was ever gonna be a good RPG or anything.
(i do wish they’d do better models than the ones theyve been using since the 3DS move though, they really do pokemon like Persian so fucking dirty. so much lacking personality. also pokemon colosseum’s accurate pokemon scale is hilarious bring that back i want wailord to absolutely destroy the camera and make every other pokemon look like an insignificant speck.)
(though i mean, i also wish they didn’t churn out these games so fast and that the team got literally any time to breathe, these recent games seem like labor nightmares)

Anyone else concerned the direct didn’t have new information on the latest pokemon film? This is the furthest we’ve been since the last major release since the series began!
Terastallising is some hideous nonsense. Like not even aesthetically, I hasd trouble reading what was going on, especially in the multiplayer.
Cetitan seems cool though. I think I’ll enjoy my squad a lot more in this one.
