It is time for me to get way too hype about a new Pokemon game, then buy it and only play halfway through!
But this time it has DQ11 graphics, so that’s a pretty huge plus.

Yet another clear pick for water due to grass being the absolute worst thing I’ve ever seen and fire being kind of boring
None that are as intuitive. Rock/Fighting/Flying doesn’t quite equate to Rock, Paper, Scissors.

Poison/Grass/Ground
Electric/Water/Ground (this one is sort of intuitive?)
Flying/Fighting/Ice
I could probably keep finding these considering I’m not trying that hard. But none of them are as iconic so…I guess we’ll just keep seeing Fire Water Grass
(plus none match the colors of the original pokemon)
after spending double-digit years lusting after a true console pokemon, i’m left feeling extremely underwhelmed by this announcement, but i guess we’ll see how it turns out. tentatively bored by this though. those new pokemon designs barely register to me, not even a “oh that’s cute”
seeing all those rolling hills in the background but getting the sense that you’re going to be on the same railroaded paths you’re on in every other pokemon. disappointing!
(oh i guess i should say i did like the brief shot of a very foggy forest. if they actually let you loose to explore out in the wilderness, i’d be back on board in a heartbeat)
