There are over 400 episodes of this “CHM Oral Histories” compilation of interviews by the Computer History Museum; I’m not sure how official this podcast form of it may be. The official web site has nearly 2000; I’m not sure if they’re all in video form, but the opening listing is. And they’ve got a bit more than are in the podcast compiled in a YouTube video “podcast” playlist:
conflicted recommendation because like it’s informative and interesting and coherent but also it makes me mad and sad so i am going to stop listening lol. maybe some of youse have a stronger stomach for this kind of thing.
a podcast that evokes a similar feeling in me to one that you’ve described that i can only listen to very occasionally (weirdly it’s a tradition for me to listen to it only while on a plane or a long distance train trip) is Qanon Anonymous, which a lot of people already probably know about.
that’s a link to a recent episode i’ve thought a lot about but is also very depressing
i have seriously considered starting a jrpg podcast a number of times now but i am Very Busy and also i have somehow thus far avoided falling into The White Guy Trap that is starting a podcast (no offense to my friends and loved-ones who have done this; this is my neurosis to bear) and i’d kinda like to keep that streak going but also dude i wanna talk seriously about jrpgs… maybe i should just start a “JRPGs that aren’t DQ et al.” thread…
I’ve been enjoying listening to Jade and Molly do a beat by beat of Dragon Age games. They are in the middle of them in a very weird order (2, brief interlude bitchfest(posituve) for veilguard, origins (current episodes), then inquisition is to come.
they had a brief tacit for life stuff recently but are back and I’m pretty happy so that’s why I’m posting here.
Origins was a very formative thing for me in my reintroduction and latent obsession for rpgs and my adult queer puberty. It’s really nice right now to hear a couple of fun friends talk about this crazy silly game.
duckfeed TV got hit with some BS legal fees and are holding a stream today to recoup some funds. They’re well on track to making their target already (good, they deserve it) but it’s still a good fun time to watch em stream so i recommend it if youve got some free time between 12-8 PST twitch.tv/duckfeedtv
their gfm if youre interested though like i said, theyve just about nailed the goal already lol https://gofund.me/26ac75bc3
