I had it twice forget to actually remove the files after uninstalling an 80GB game, leaving that space as a black hole. I ended up booting Linux off a flash drive to delete it.

haha is it just the launcher that’s 11GB? which then updates itself and then proceeds to download the actual game? computers are amazing
they have a great CDN though, I’ll give them that
A few things:
- It is actually 68GB
- PSO style controls have not aged very well. I swapped them to be Dark Souls-y (R1/R2/L1 = action buttons, L2 = palette swap, B = dodge, X = item, A = interact, Y = jump, R3 = lock, L3 = swap view)
- I haven’t experienced the new stuff yet, but I’m guessing jump and dodge are two different ways to avoid attacks/get damage in? I like it
- Ranged attacks seem really OP right now
I took a quick break to see if I could change the resolution to get a better framerate. It seems to run OK on my 6th gen mobile quadcore i5, but I kinda want chunky pixels.
every class has ways of nullifying damage, from dodging to just not being in range to very, very, very generous parry/counter/perfect guard windows
it quickly becomes less an issue of “how do I make this attack not kill me” and more “how much can I get away with”

Yeah I did the tutorial stuff too, and I am (cautiously?) optimistic about the game. I registered the alliance Selectbutts and my in game name is LUNARSIGNALS. I’d like to party up and play some multiplayer. I’m level 17 right now but I’m sure that’ll go up fast.

you don’t really need to designate a block unless you’re that hard up to see the concert or play lobby ball together, which is good because there’s like 50+ blocks on all the ships
instead, just join an alliance and make them set up an alliance HQ and meet up there
If everyone posts their usernames I can add people to an SB Alliance and then you can use that to see who’s on

I did the urgent event where you fight the big metroid prime 2 looking motherfucker in SPACE with 4 random guys and I can safely say that this game owns as someone who has barely even seen gameplay of PSO before. It’s like Monster Hunter if it wasn’t slow as shit and I didn’t dislike it!!

I was playing with a somewhat more experienced friend and ended up doing that immediately after the tutorial following his lead without really knowing what was going on. It was pretty tight jumping straight in then seeing a short cinematic about going into space to fight PSO 1 final boss Dark Falz. I was expecting so many more reppies before I got there.
