If only Microsoft had an API or framework that they didn’t get bored of in 5 years!

Skulls of the Shogun ended up shipping with an API (cross phone, Windows 8, 360 play) that was deprecated twice over by launch as two successive waves of shiny objects turned that galleon around.

They seem somewhat better under Nadella, but it will take at least a decade for anyone to really trust their interface. Or Google sucking up all the oxygen for 'big companies drops products, leaves wrack and ruin"

count_yorga’s Sony eVilla, an all-in-one “internet appliance” from Y2k.

It was running BeIA. This was a cousin to BeOS.

It was cancelled and recalled after only a few months. I say recalled but Sony just offered refunds to anyone that purchased a unit and wished to return it.

What a legend:

The mouse is not original to the system. I thought it went together well with the Evilla. I had originally purchased the mouse to use with the memory sticks from my Sony Aibo.

It ain’t exactly in the spirit of the thread, but my dang Samsung TV crapped out on me after 3 years, so I decided to cut my losses and sprung for one of those TCL 6 Series TV. Folks…it’s good. Looks a hell of a lot nicer than that Samsung did for less than half the price, at that.

In the spirit of the thread! My sister found one of these at an estate sale for dirt cheap and was able to clean it up and flip it on eBay. I think it might have been posted earlier in the thread, but it was wild to see one in person.
