I think a lot about how people in the games industry who are around my age got started at like, arguably the worst ever time for both hardware and software
it got better quickly after that thanks I’m sure to these same people but it means that I have some real whiplash when I’m trying to reconcile others’ professional nostalgia and critical nostalgia
everyone was learning C# and on the strength of the Xbox 360 and the DS I decided to buy a Mac and that made all the difference &c. &c.
