This is essentially the next set for Exceed Fighting System, a fighting game inspired board game (which is itself adapted heavily from another game called Battlecon by the same company). Itās supposed to be pretty good. Each āseasonā is based on a different property, with the last couple being Under Night and BlazBlue, so there a lot of ArcSys representation there. Rebranding the next season as āGuilty Gear the Board Gameā is probably a good idea for selling it untethered from the association of an unfamiliar brand with lots of history, even if you can pick up any set and start playing.
Also for anyone interested, if you go to the Guilty Gear the Board Game website you can order a free demo kit (only have to pay shipping, which was $4 or $5 for me).

Gonna laugh if it ignores the ending of the first game and just gives the characters some random new starting state it can have a āclean slateā.
Iām not expecting it, but I would love for this to play like Real Bout.

Rockās ending in Garou is kind of a cliffhanger with Kain, the main villain, saying āI am your uncle/brother (canāt remember which) and also join me if you want to learn about your mother who died when you were littleā and Rock agreeing. So technically Rock should be part of the villainās group at the beginning of City of the Wolves, even if he himself isnāt a ābad guyā.
So I wonder if SNK is comfortable directly following that setup decades later and trusting in Garouās legacy to carry the premise of City of the Wolves, or if SNK will reset the character relationships to reintroduce the series to a new generation of people.

I am apologetic for some of RDR2ās distasteful triple-A qualities, but I do wonder if I really believe myself when I say RDR is probably a better game if only because it is like x4 shorter.

was talking about this in discord but it is a massive shame that multiplayer is not getting ported
RDR1 multi was exceptionally good with a huge wealth of content and modes. along with GTAIV it was probably my most-played multiplayer 360 game

i think the best way to play this is on Xbox Series. native 4K through the backward compatibility system, multiplayer intact
even when not on sale, this is also cheaper than the $50 this new port is gonna sell for
both RDR1 and UN apparently frequently go on sale on the xbox store but no idea what the discount level is
