goog strikes again
Lol the expansion for it is never gonna be released though.
V little. Itâs basically a giant NES controller without modules but itâs more flexible with analog sticks than the PAC is shaping up to be. Seems like you need to buy 2 PAC to have 2 sticks?
Otherwise the price itâs pretty good and Iâm curious to test it.
they do show this:
not sure if theyâll make any 3.5mm jack accessories themselves (Microsoft seemingly hasnât) but itâd be nice to have a stick module from Sony if it isnât too expensive
Deeply considering buying two of these and building my own dumb Steel Battalion setup for the next Armored Core
that I/O is disheartening because the XAC is primarily a âbrainâ for disabled peopleâs existing setup to use a computer or other assistive technology. learning a new layout even could be its own challenge for someone with a mix of physical and cognitive disabilities
another angle to this is for someone like me who has carpal tunnel but doesnât currently have a setup at all, the PAC seems like a lower barrier to entry because it will be able to be more useful on its own than the XAC
given MS doesnât make accessories, iâd need to research and purchase quite a bit of additional stuff to get much use out of it
of course, and thatâs a use thatâs only going to grow, but because the console locks down third-party accessories thereâs no alternative to this and itâs failing measured against the XACâs mission to make something very specific for a market that wonât be served by capitalism
ideally theyâd have the same I/O and a full complement of onboard inputs but limiting the I/O to four out of sixteen (?) is just the wrong decision
iâve been keeping an eye on this: PlayStation 5 and Cronus Zen - Cronus Zen Guide
but Sonyâs controller DRM shenanigans are truly depressing
Yeah, costs aside, the XAC is just straight up better all needs considered. But the PAC might be enough for a smaller range of disability at least. Though ideally PS5 should just open up tbh and Iâm surprised itâs not more controversial they donât.
This says it includes the expansion!
Learned that there are some True Freaks who have figured out how to get online play working again with da dreamcast using a raspberry pi, some hardware bits and bobs, and I might have to give this a shot. I have several rPies lying around for this
Whoa!
this friggin rules
OwO
Can it hit the wearer in the balls.
