i’ve been kinda nostalgic for destiny recently but they’re at the point where even someone with 1k+ hours and everything done in d1 and d2 up to that ‘expansion’ where it was a public event and a room you could go in can’t figure out which sku you buy now

i still think about how i paid 100 dollars for destiny 2 and the season pass and if I were to start up the game now all the content I paid for is gone and I’ll be bombarded with ads to buy new xpacs. Last time I did this it showed me an ad for an expansion they were literally sunsetting any time I tried to do an activity. Which, to be fair, they don’t sunset anymore, but it was incredibly insulting. Very sad to see Bungie in such a state.

it’s getting restored to a mostly playable state for MCC along with a ton of other cut stuff from halo 1 and 2 which is kinda crazy
whaaaaat. I’ll be honest and say that this segment of gameplay kind of wowed me as a child. I have for the longest time confusedly believed the SMGs in Halo 2 were snapped together to form a battle rifle because of this trailer. That idea has captured me for two decades now!
I love that they’re trying, this is like what my colleague Andrew at the museum of play in Rochester goes through when he tries to boot old demos that were donated to them

Some of the dialog at the beginning cutscene ended up in the game but that was it.

Yeo’s got a new game in the works. I am disappointed to see it continue the violent murder trend of Arrest of a Stone Buddha, but it seems to also blend in the life-sim stuff from Friends of Ringo. Gotta take the good with the bad as a begger in this world of handmade artisanal existential Kunio adventures, I guess.
