Yeah, I had pre-ordered the collector’s editions from Strictly Limited and forgot all about it. It looks like the LE should be shipping now and the CE will ship at the end of the month. I’ve been enamored with this game since playing it at Magfest one year, so I figured I should probably pick up a physical copy with a nice poster while I had a chance.

oh hey and it doesn’t stink!!! for a while I was hoping the font they used on gba final fantasies was gonna be the new universal but this is close ish
maybe I should ask ice t what he thinks about this font choice
The menus still look like shit!!!
FF6 menus are essentially perfect, just do it again in pillarbox 4:3 or thereabouts with a few fewer abbreviations, get real

yeah the font is better but c’mon square you have a mountain of original amano sketches lying around, scan those into some beautiful high res BG & character art and size the windows down to show it off
I’m gonna be that guy for whom this is insufficient because it’s still rendered at a different resolution than the native pixel art
if only someone released that incomplete WonderSwan port of FF3, I would have no reason to care about the pixel remasters

this looks really striking. However it’s my curse that the moment I finished watching the trailer I was overwhelmed with a desire to shout “damn! this name sucks!”

Every game only needs the saturnian font from earthbound and the unown one from pokemon gold and silver.
