News VI: Fires of Rumorcon

windows 10 is great for what it’s worth

I am unsure if I one can even buy Windows 10 any longer, and I have concerns as to how well Win 11 would work on this machine. Regardless theoretically going with 10 feels like just kicking the can down the road so I’m probably better off just getting this over with this year.

Doesn’t Windows 10 still accept keys for 7 or 8? Requirements wise, if you can run 7 you should be able to run 10. It’s not a weird Windows 11 situation with really specific motherboard features and processor models required.

I never paid for windows 10 and I never will. it’s super easy to crack.

Is Office still crackable too?

how do you crack it?

the olympics released their esports categories and it’s way more wii sports than MLG like I had originally assumed

so many of them are VR games!!!

I have no idea, and I hope I never need to lol

nice try fbi

(seriously just dm me or start an axe thread)

I really want it to become conventional to broadcast, and possibly judge, VR competitions without in-game video. Just a variety of inscrutable cyborg dance solos.

I assume you missed the part where I am trying to avoid options where a significant portion of my PC games no longer function

Also Windows 10 seems to no longer be “officially” available and I am unsure about going into full OS-level cracks, less for any moral reasons and more for “solid likelihood it’ll become a headache” ones.

I installed windows 10 recently, i downloaded it from the microsoft website… i don’t know if either of these links helps:

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10%20

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10ISO

EDIT: it says you need a key but there was an option to click when installing if you don’t have one. some things are disabled but so far nothing i actually needed to use, it was things like changing the background picture … i think there are some useful things disabled too maybe, idk

i have windows 10, i got it when i got this computer (so about 8 months ago?? can’t remember). i bought one of these:

I had to call Microsoft to get the key to work, but it was weirdly straightforward:

in any case, Windows 10 is essentially free. You can download and install it and it will…just work. Of course, you’ll have text in the lower left saying it’s unactivated, and you won’t be able to do things like customize the task bar or change the wallpaper. But all the important functionality is there- and I mean literally everything except the cosmetic stuff.

So yeah I’m sure you can find a way to make this work!!
