soundtrack notable due to being composed by Alberto GonzĂĄlez

paging @VastleCania

GonzĂĄlez also did the music for Turok 1, 2, & 3 GBC!

Yeah Turok 1 was always my favorite when it came to single player. Fighting dinosaurs in a jungle and eventually a UFO is what I want out of the series, not wandering around some tiny moat trying to find the lever for a door.

i featured a different turok game on episode 5 actually!

sony says their ‘project q’ or ‘sony playstation portal’ is coming before the end of the year. it costs $199 USD (and comparatively more everywhere else), and i’m still scratching my head about why this is happening

The death of Halo really has Sony on some wild shit

Edit:
What the absolute fuck?

The PlayStation Portal doesn’t have Bluetooth, so you won’t be able to connect to wireless headphones or Sony’s Pulse 3D headset. Instead, it uses a PlayStation Link wireless technology — a new proprietary standard for PlayStation devices. PlayStation Link is designed to deliver low latency, lossless audio and Sony is also launching a wireless headset and buds that support PlayStation Link.

You’ll be able to use this new headset or buds with a PS5 through a USB adapter, but with rumors of a PS5 “Slim” on the way it’s easy to imagine PlayStation Link will be integrated into future PS5 models.

Yeah people are definitely going to buy a new, slim ps5 (which still has no major games that aren’t cross-gen afaik) so they can use proprietary wireless earbuds

Good luck with the PS5 U, Sony

On the odd chance I keep buying consoles I feel like I’m going to be flipping between Microsoft and Sony every generation because they always seem to alternate who sucks more

Our boy Stobbart is back for a brand new thrilling adventure…to be released at an as-yet unspecified date sometime in the future.

But first, some kinda new remaster of Broken Sword 1 with re-drawn art next year.

The XSX is just fine, I really don’t know why sony is running away with this generation except that they have more than zero first party/exclusive games

Reading between the lines about the delays in the xbox release of bg3 due to performance issues on the XSS I guess basically mandating all games be effectively cross-gen is a big turn off for developers? Despite the fact that almost all of them are even on ps5 just because the ps4 install base is so large

interestingly, the quake 2 remaster (also by nightdive) has a crt shader built-in and it works exceptionally well. I wonder if that’s gonna be standard going forward for these remasters.

in case there is still anyone on earth who still doesn’t have some version of rpg maker, the older versions are currently a pittance on steam

MV and VX are the selected platform of most of the current porn games on DLSite, which implies that they’re easy to work with and have a robust plug-in scene

…what.

i guess just look at the store pages for each of them and see which one speaks to you the most? i

i’m pretty sure 2000 and 2003 are only there because so many people have nostalgia for using pirated fantranslations of them 20+ years ago, though.

Set aside whatever you feel like spending on them, then throw darts at the screen* until your total cost of the rpg makers matches closely-but does not exceed-the total you’re interested in spending.

*You may wish to also set aside money for a replacement screen if you use this method.

@notbov

I mean, they pretty extensively support plug’n’play so that tracks.
