there was one in doom 64, I believe this feature is natively supported as of recently in the engine kaiser ports literally every night dive game into

yeah, they don’t put it into trailers I guess because the average gamer still thinks “higher resolution” = better looking but the kex engine has had built in crt shaders for a long time now

Kex engine is one of those remarkable feats of engineering people don’t talk about enough imo

yeah, I definitely see what you mean. in his defense, it is a combination of the EX from doom 64 EX and his first initial, but it sure doesn’t look good!!!

The sleeper feature of this generation is playing PS4 games with less loading

I need to go back and compare, but I feel like it’s much better implemented here. like in other nightdive games it felt like a gimmick, the default settings were overdone and flashy. it’s like perfectly transparent here. doesn’t draw attention to itself, just does the job of being a more flattering way of representing low resolution content.

VX Ace is the old RPG Maker i have and the one to go with if youre not just gonna spring for the newest version. it adds a lot of features to the standard database editor that previously you had to script in

Oh yeah I should get 1 of those and get RPG Makin’. Kinda in the mood to make another Turbo Quest game. Tho actually making it in GB Studio might be cool too.

“Dodge now” icon, not thrilled at the voice acting, and yet… compelling. Still reserving judgment.

I’m loving actually getting to see the Guard in action this time and seeing a few things I’ve built on the field. I want to protect those dudes and dudettes.

Seeing the frame work in motion I can’t help but feel that they might be trying to split the difference between a GoW campaign and a L4D/Vermintide horde shooter. I guess I’ll feel vindicated in this take if there’s going to be some bonus survival mode that might have objectives.

I like Tyranids as a gross alien monster horde but I do hope we got some Orks as a treat.

Finally, crowd tech being used on a full Tyranid invasion. I kinda like the PS360 colour palette too.

So… can’t say for sure this is a new Remote Control Dandy, but~
