I laughed so hard at all the like contemporary party footage with a fucking tom petty song like florida music is blowing up and you guys couldnt find anything for your game set in miami…? Also it’s kinda amazing how much better the early gta 4 trailers were at both communicating what the game is actually like and being cool

If the previous trailers for their previous games are any indication then this is an accurate portrayal of what the game will actually look like, graphics-wise, when it releases. Pretty impressive. Some of these shots look way better than even RDR 2. And if the information from last year’s mega leak proves accurate it will have just as much, if not more, emphasis on NPC interaction and general simulationist game systems as RDR2.
I’d say a year or two is too long a wait but I’m old enough now that a year flys by like nothing. It’ll be the end of next year before you know and they’ll be dropping trailer 3 a week early and everyone will be speculating on if it’s coming out on spring or summer.

I don’t think this is co-op is it? surely that would of leaked. That dialogue was pretty generic, could of been a sony game. no sarcastic asshole protagonist opining on the state of the world, you can already feel the dan houser absence. wish I could find that michael mann quote about modern day miami being a place he’s not interested in at all

the setting is imo way more fun than anything they’ve done since like San Andreas (I know I was supposed to have liked 4 but I didn’t really and I think it was mostly a generational thing) so I’m reasonably chuffed
it feels trashy and semi suburban which I like because their version of cities never scans to me

i will never pay for or play through the story mode of a GTA game but every single new one will always be the best “get high and pass around the controller” game that currently exists. so looking forward to playing this one in that context! you can maybe play a lady criminal, it vaguely seems!! maybe it wont absolutely hate women as much as the past ones have lolol

this is truly the only context to play these games in, imo. GTA games have come a long way over the years but so many of them suffer from awful mission bloat with dogshit writing but all that fades away when you ignore all of that, add a few friends (add a few grams) and do “play until you die” sessions until everyone is laughing and coughing
