i remember playing this and at one point i was attacked by a flying tiger and i was too scared to play any further
fallout 4 dialogue system
I thumbed through with the little youtube preview image thing and saw maybe 45 seconds of game footage?
Iāll never watch a āvideogame previewā of two dudes talking again as long as I live, you canāt fool me marketing departments
In āhey, I wonder what is going on in Steam shovelwareā newsā¦ this:
There is so much, the game art being a photo that has nothing to do with the game, the description of this very unique game not mentioning that it is directly ripping off a rather famous game in both mechanics and look, that it does so profoundly poorly (I play a solid number of itch games by hobbyists/beginners, many of them are significantly better executed), the utterly absurd user tags (I am unsure whether ā4Xā or āInteractive Fictionā is less accurate), completed with the chefās kiss that is the asking price.
Games arenāt art, thisā¦ this is art.
EDIT: I neglected to include this final line from the full description:
Truer words.
the vidmasters are not impressedā¦
I canāt tell if this means it sucks or if itās my initial instinct of āof course the milsim dudebros arenāt going to like the neon scifi extraction shooter, Iām interested in Marathon and would never dream of touching Tarkovā
Maybe if they asked Battlefield 2042 streamers they would have gotten a better result
well, of course masochists would jump at the chance to hurt more
streamers not liking something only makes me more interested
Escape from Tarkov is really too much of a hardcore game so anyone who streams it on a regular basis is going to have very warped opinions on whatās good or not.
out today
which btw - i never talked about in the āGames You Played Todayā thread, but i played basically all of the way through the first Talos Principle this past summer. havenāt played the expansion but it looks like more of the same anyway. but yeah the original Talos Principle really feels like a more chill version of The Witness. the setting is pleasant and less overbearingly Designed feeling than TW, but i never really enjoyed the story whatsoever and unfortunately thereās quite a bit of it.
anyway i expect this second one to be more of the same - which, as a puzzle fan, is fine with me. iāll probably get around trying to play it eventually. and iāll probably actively ignore 90% of the story when i do. the visuals def look a lot more impressive on this sequel.
@DaleNixon Are we going to play this at exactly the same pace, get stuck on the same level, and reach the ending the same day, the way we did with the first game?
I just have to decide whether I want to play it on PC or PlayStation.
I really think making marathon a tarkov game is an enormous mistake because itās not actually doing anything that appeals to fans of that genre at all. like us normal people see it and go wow at least the art design is cool and the tarkov man has a giant thought bubble above his head where he is preoccupied about what scope to put on his ar-15 instead
this would have been a great opportunity to make a classic style Bungie game but they are a deeply confused company that needs to chase trends and have a games as a service money printer to feel safe
Yes! Thanks to Lizās reminder Iām placing my order within the next 34 minutes.
Okay, I got it on Steam because you did (and because itās cheaper). Probably wonāt get around to starting it before the weekend, though.
Edit: 70 GB. Must be a lot of graphics in there.
Yeah. Between this and WRC and two parties I have to attend this weekend, Iām not sure how much time Iāll get in either.
