Hey now, I watched it! Both seasons! It was bad! But I’d keep watching it if it kept going.
Why? I don’t know. It was like sub-UPN quality, but there was something endearing in how bad it was.
I also bought some episodes of X’amd on PSN, the PSN exclusive anime from Studio BONES (because the show got finished too late and missed its TV slot).

This isn’t news but it’s news to me.
Y’know how the company that makes Slack now originally started by making a Flash game called Glitch? And it had involvement from Keita Takahashi? And how they shut it down after like, a year or so because its microtransaction model wasn’t making any money, because it was actually nice and not horrifically predatory? And they made Slack after that?
Anyway, when they shut down Glitch they released all of the assets into the public domain and two or three competing Glitch remakes got started. And I’ve checked in on them every time I remember to, which is not frequently, but they’ve always been in various states of incomplete or unplayable.
Well, I checked yesterday, and apparently there’s a fully playable one now:
Only ~2000 people have accounts, but they’re actively playing. It’s incomplete but it looks much, much, much closer than I expected it to. And it’s funded on Patreon so like, they can just keep chugging along. I’m gonna get in there soon and see if it’s as pleasant as I remember it being.

Ultima Underworld 2 was my first experience with IMSIMS, I spent hours just walking around the first castle area fucking around with people and finding secrets. I never actually got to any of the other worlds until I replayed it as an adult lol, but just messing around the castle was enough for me back then. It felt huge and dense.
