Especially codblops 4.
Calling it “4” only legitimizes their use of IIII
The 11th thread in which folks discuss video game news and trailers
The use of IIII for 4 is historical though seemed to develop in medieval Europe long after the numerals’ establishment by the ancient Romans
I choose to believe it’s pronounced cod blops eeeeeee
by this metric it should be acceptable for you to render it as “IIII” and not “4” as it’s already a bowdlerized use
Nope. I refuse to play any corporate marketing department’s game. It’s also Twitter, Neufenstein, and Noom
on a different note, absolutely love From for doing wordplays with the Armored Core titles, AC 4 => AC Fo(u)r Answer
AC 5 => AC Verdict Day
… so, AC6 => … ![]()
I regret to inform you that the primary cultural touchstone for roman numerals in the XXI century is the super bowl
Actually, this is not correct. The Gigo with the retro floor is GiGO Akihabara Building 3, which is still safe.
EDIT: This one
Oh on this, check out Kanagawa Leisure Land Atsugi.
That’s fine I won’t use them for that either
the rule is that JRPGs are always in roman numerals, you’re trying to steal Gravitas Valour otherwise
SNK broke this rule with king of fighters and well, you saw how that went
Rock Paper Shotgun’s editor-in-chief, Graham Smith, annouced last week that he is leaving the site.
Here’s a short interview with him from 2018 where he discusses the big redesign RPS did at the time:
I don’t think it’s a stretch to link Graham’s allusion to a “tough 12-18 months” with the layoffs that happened when IGN bought the site.
The layoffs included Alice Bell, who was their deputy editor at a time, and someone Graham was good friends with. They already didn’t have an editor-in-chief at the time so it was a surprise, and Graham was “angry and sad” about it. (That’s when Graham stepped back in as editor-in-chief). She was interviewed by Aftermath when it happened:
Thanks I was trying to figure out on google maps because I go to the wrong one every single time.
Still a good excuse to go play Police 911-2 and HotD2.
Speaking of Akihabara changing for the worse, everything in the block on the other side of the tracks (Edion, Onoden, Love Merci) is scheduled to be demolished and replaced with a boring glass-windowed multi-use skyscraper.
