starting to circulate that NX is Nvidia Tegra based, ARM, can connect to TV or not.
this was definitely the right choice. it may actually be the first shipping 16nm Tegra so performance ought to be pretty good, probably almost on par with the current bone (a year before itās replaced but still). Iām actually excited to see Nvidiaās weird boutique hardware actually get some software support, since even the amount of software support that Nintendoās weird boutique hardware receives would be an upgrade.

yeah, this is more or less what everyone was predicting, right? I guess what Iām wondering now is if this will replace the 3DS or not. will nintendo just only have one line of consoles now?
I just want to know if it will actually be portable, or will it be a big cranky tablet thing. I want to put games in my pocket, not have to carry a special backpack for it or something

it really should replace the 3DS too as a platform but the problem is that the tegra can do up to laptop levels of power consumption and heat dissipation which is uhhhhhh a form factor issue in a handheld
So help me god if they donāt take the obvious track of having a low-power portable mode and a console-comparable higher powered mode while docked

The NX has a Tegra X1? they better downclock that when mobile or youāre not going to get much battery life out of itā¦
The stuff Iāve been reading says the devkit has an actively cooled X1, which points to one of two things:

The X1 is a placeholder for the X2

The X1 that will ship will be underclocked
