Maybe rage at being forced to churn out a totally unnecessary sequel? We know that their relationship with Activision was a little bit fraught.
I know a guy who quit when marketing forced them to add the ability to burn human beings alive in COD5 because it ranked highly on a bullet-point-poll taken in a mall

Itās a buyable theory, but it also aligns perfectly with my āwe made it crazy on purpose to expose all the liesā argument.
Artistic Intent is bullshit. But in execution MW1 is culturally reflective this is modern war through the lense of a video game. (or the reverse). Then MW2 is MW1 through the lense of a Hollywood Blockbuster. I donāt feel like Iām smart (or eager) enough to write an essay explaining this execution but both games are at least smart enough that the experience of playing them is an essay.
This feels like Iām shutting down dialog. Reading MW1 and 2 discussions involves me looking at every post on every side and going āyes.ā

this looks terrible, just like the new anime, and just like the manga has been for years. whoās in charge of this stuff? why wouldnāt it be given to a developer like platinum (whoāve even expressed interest in doing a berserk game) or fromsoft? only in a perfect world, i guess. that music is awful, too ā but i suppose thereāll never be a match for berserk quite like susumu hirasawa.

still though, berserk stuff is cool in dsouls because berserk was cool for a time
