Having played the demos for both, I think that there is a decent game buried under there but I donāt have enough time to wash off all the shame.

They should have bundled Vol 1 and 2 together. Hope we wonāt wait long for a Vol 3 with Sonic2/Gunstar Heroes/SOR2, but there might be more unannounced that M2 has in the pipeline to be included in a future cart. M2 did say they were done with the 3D classics though.
Space Harrier on the physical cart has updated 3D, a faster rapid-fire option and button mapping (!!!)
Also itās weird that Super Hang-On is not on either JP cart.
Also also Fantasy Zone 1 SMS is on the JP cart but not on the NA/EU one. Probably being held back for the other bundle, which did have the 3D update of FZ1-arcade.
Youāre better off with those Import copies id think since this is just Vol 2 from Japan being relased as a Vol. 1 (essentially) here in NA. While for me personally, since ive bought all the eShop NA releases, I am happy because I want Power Drift, Puyo Puyo 2, Maze Walker and SMS FZ2 ā not sure for the mass audience this makes sense as the only physical release when they could have done JPās Vol 1 instead and have more recognizable titles.
Also, isnāt there some hidden games if you own both of the JP Volumes?
Yeah, Wikipedia says SMS FZ1 is unlocked on Vol 2 if it detects Vol 1 save data. That might explain why itās not on the official NA listā¦probably hidden behind a code or needing you to buy another Sega product to get it.
Maybe Vol 2 got released first because Sonic.
