I think that looks pretty good I’m liking the HD Remix environments and the boss sprite animations, even the hi/low res sprite mix. I like it. Looks neat.
Better than the Final Fantasy reduxen but the high/low res is nails on the chalkboard to me and perspectives are all funky.

I believe hacking the original rom is a nightmare & that’s why it hasn’t shown up in english before now
also think this looks decent, i’m mostly just enthused to play something that i’ve been interested in for years
the code and not the text which of course makes sense.
I’m interested but haven’t exhausted the well of ‘JRPGs I should play except really, no, I shouldn’t’ yet.
still feeling guilty about running a friend through Terranigma recently because the end is so worth it (and it really is) but forcing 10 hours after the game has given up for a bit of poetry is rather rough

this looks a little better than the rest of SQEX’s mobile output and it’s not as inevitably inferior to emulating the original titles at least
Even though it says “Exclusive”, all those ugly phone versions of the Final Fantasies on Steam make me a little hopeful this will turn up there as well.
I dont even remember the poetry because of those 10 hours the game gave up on.
Soul blazer is the best game.

It requires you to talk to plants + animals & has a level where you walk on the bottom of the ocean, which automagically puts it on a favorites list for me

1st Person NES RPG Dungeon Crawler Shadow Brain Translated
The game is noteworthy for coming with a VHS tape that provided pretty much all of the backstory for the game. We’ve included a translation of the VHS in the archive. There is a digital copy of the video floating around the internet, but it’s terrible quality. We’d be interesting in obtaining the VHS, ripping the VHS and adding subtitles to it. The only problem is that we have no means to rip the VHS. If someone is willing to get a high-quality rip of the VHS, this side project could get off the ground.
It’s also noteworthy for having a JPOP connection with the band Alfee, who contributed a song to the OST and maybe might have had a hand in the game’s creation. But who really knows…
