Nintendo, you clearly need to step up the marketing on your game with a popular IP to appeal to people like me, who like games that sold in excess of 10-20,000 copies in the US

Who could possibly be sad about Molyneux’s inevitable fall goingeth after his pride.
ehh, I don’t get the molyneux hate. sure, he says a lot of bullshit, but there are entire armies of people in the video game industry who get paid handsome salaries to say a lot of bullshit, and no one cares about any of them. molyneux at least made good games at one point, and earnestly tried to make good games at every point.
Well, Molyneux hasn’t been at Lionhead for a few years at this point, so this doesn’t actually affect him. Fable Legends was also, by all accounts, fairly polished for a beta.
Molyneux’s at least never said boring bullshit. If developers are going to radically over-promise, I’d rather they promise the most lifelike pet dog ever in video games than whatever it is Ken Levine has on tap.

As for anyone involved in making Fable games, they are true turds so I don’t have any problem with them not doing that any more.
Any problem I have with mollynoo is linked to how his ambition endangers his employees/'s careers. But also I mean they signed up for it so they may disagree with me. I only ever played Fable 1 (and enjoyed it!), so I don’t have a personal grudge against the guy, just historically increasing skepticism.
Anyway, forever remember that guy who insisted on Molyneux’s character assassination for the sake of journalism.
that guy was john walker, and he’s the epitome of lame everyman moral proselyting in the vidcon writing world. everything is Protect The Medium. he should have went into sports journalism, where that trait could have made him moderately wealthy.
Legends actually looked pretty cool, though. I’d say if anything the Fable name was just tacked on to increase the game’s profile.
Looks lIke Tim was right to praise Neo Contra, not only does it rule but now we’ve gotten to the point where cool indie devs are riffing on that formula. I don’t know about you but this game is probably going to own.

As someone who had a nerdy spreadsheet of every game I bought so I could determine my game of the year, I still recall that my 2004 version had Neo Contra as my GOTY 2004. I guess I’m gonna have to be getting Alienation.

So, http://amazon.co.jp now ships games internationally. This is kind of a big deal, used to not be the case - I thought it was a publisher/copyright thing but apparently it’s doable now for whatever reason. In general, only works for stuff shipped direct from Amazon (i.e. no 3rd party sellers). Very nice new outlet for import games!
