I’ve watched a stream of Stardew Valley in the beta phase and it’s pretty okay! You can play as a girl with a green beard.

This flip-flops back and forth between pretty cool and pretty bad

Its the Metal Gear Solid meets PS2 Shinobi that RPG fans have been clamoring for!

i’m one of those idiot nerds that wishes final fantasy still clung to the lightly steampunkified swords n sorcerers aesthetic, especially in the case of this game. i feel like it could look so cool if the game’s whole ‘look’ didn’t appear to be ripped from a crappy j-rock music video or whatever.

but maybe i should just play dragon’s dogma idk

in esports news that no one but me cares about: today (or, uhh, yesterday I guess) is the worst day in the history of Starcraft 2. The zerg player Life, arguably the best SC2 player of all time, was arrested for match fixing. Starcraft has a history of match fixing, and a few months ago a couple lower tier players and the coach of a team on the perpetual edge of financial ruin were arrested and banned from competition for life. another player, who was at one point one of the best and most popular players in the world, was also under suspicion after some big gambling sites voided all bets they had taken on a very interesting match he happened to lose in a very improbable way after an unusual rush of money came in late on his opponent. he was eventually cleared, though doubts remain. Life’s arrest appears to have been connected to all this, which would also suggest that there’s more to come. SC2 isn’t in a great spot right now to begin with.

I’ve been reading SC2VN so this scandal has some minor relevance to me and Oh Damn.

oh no it’s adorable

I think I just didn’t like how that part of the fight in the FFXV video turned into sort of a cruddy musou with dudes armed with rifles just harmlessly standing around, not even attempting to shoot the people tearing up their base

and that’s exactly the thing that makes it good, tbh.

compared to FF7-HD-rehash, this looks like it is a new game (which it is, so, uh, easy feat?), and I like what i saw/heard. OST could be good, if this is any indication of the finished product™ …

If you don’t vote for Cactus, you might be a terrible person

I don’t own the other two games, and yet there is no choice here.

After you talking it up I’m even more hype than I would have been so it has my vote. Poor Action Henk got trotted out there to die, though

I’m sure Action Henk is a fine game but it isn’t a game about me shooting tons of bullets while dodging the same that I can put on my Vita, so

Action Henk has a unity demo on its website. It’s a pretty nifty platformer racer type game with fun slidey physics.
