Speaking of which here’s my collection of creature I’ve come across online. Again, these are only wearing the various default outfits since clothing isn’t saved.

i only played a couple times since i last posted, but i’m nearly to gold and regularly playing and beating gold players, so i should be there soon! i’m mixing in light punishes better so i have a real strike-throw mixup instead of only throw all the time. still get rocked by reversal DP – need to remember to chill against those characters.

i always have to go back and watch my replays to improve – otherwise i don’t know what that fuck just happened. my mind is so in the moment it’s unable to form memories.

gief level 2 is a piece of shit that should only be used in combos or against fireballs if you’re good, fuck this character.

i now have a classic Ken at Silver I, having started from Rookie. i think i like Ken a little better even though he’s more finnicky than Ryu, The Most Basic Character. i like the target combos and how nuts the jinrai kick can be.

main notes re my play so far are:

  • there’s this really sick combo thats MP+HP+Running Dragon Lash + Shoryuken but somehow i always choke when trying it in a real match, it’s super frustrating and i often retreat to using a simpler, weaker version. i do some warmups before going on ranked and in-between matches but i feel like i’d need real training sessions to really carve these inputs in my hand;

  • i’m starting to see more and more people using drive-rush – both as an get-in-your-face-quick option and as a combo extender. it feels physically so awkward doing it on my third party Xbox One controller. every once in a while i can sneak in a hit or two with it but never consciously thinking of it;

  • also, desperately need to get some good light punch / light kick combos going. i’m waaaay too reliant on hit-confirming off of mediums and hitting drive impacts;

street fighter 6 is now my main source of entertainment when i get home from work. it really sucks when i have a bad day and lose like 500 points on bullshit but also i just perfect’d two guys over the past couple days including one jamie who taunted me mid-match so

it really bothers me that they don’t let you play multiplayer in the old games they throw in battle hub. yeah, they’d have to take however long to dump ggpo in there probably, but fucking come on.

I thought ggpo was already in the game, ain’t that what they’re doing in the main game?
