oh i also saw into the spiderverse so ive now seen two marvel movies officially and WOW ITS GOT SOME ANIMATION! eye candy woof
i liked all the spider people except the weird anime girl she just came off like a dva fan character by a twelve year old but maybe thatâs the point but also maybe i donât care. at least they didnt go all out WACKY JAPANTS with it
anyway back to watching real movies now

OH GOD AND TEH FIRST CASINO was full of old ladies and âunattractive womenâ so the literal only hot lady in the room was horse girl and that was super jarring
also like, the REALLY FUCKING LONG DRAWN OUT âthey are a couple now but the movie isnt over so somethings upâ honeymoon phase went on ENTIRELY TOO LONG! jeez!
i guess the one thing i really do like about bond movies is how action takes place over huge spaces with huge setpieces and theres a lot about the movement around those set pieces. also every scene feels like the final scene in any other movie
like the opening embassy chase scene could have been a final scene in something else. all the action is like that. its cool
people are telling me that the sequel to this movie is even better but im not in a rush to find out
im beginning to think maybe i should just watch john wick

casino royale is really the only one thatâs close to objectively good throughout if you arenât into colonialist kitsch (which I say without judgment, Iâll watch roger moore anytime), there are a couple other recent ones that have comparable setpiece direction but they always fail to actually keep up being critical of their characters after a couple sequels
I was sad there wasnât a film master or a 4K DI for them to make the new casino royale 4K transfer from, 2006 is right on the edge of âmaybe hold out hope they hadnât transitioned to a digital pipeline that maxed out at 1080pâ and it was not to be, a lost decade of movies that canât look any better

what i really want is a movie of like, the headquarters with all the gadgets, and you never actually SEE bondâs action you just see the action of people getting frantic phone calls and picking the right gadgets and getting them out on time

after watching john woo and michael mann movies with you plus casino royale i think you would like john wick because its the type of action scenes you like without the bullshit you hate in these movies

like manhunter is legit one of my favorite movies, any movies that put animals in them just because it looks good in the scene is my favorite
