MUWT 2: The Quickening

Joker: it’s not even over yet and ffffffuuucccckkk this movie

An incredible performance in service of a godawful script. I checked out 10 minutes in when they drop the fantasy exposition scene and realized it was going to be that kind of movie

i wonder if the dead eyed lion king or the jokester making one billion dollars will result in worse movies over the next five years

Someone’s gonna try to combine them

Scar: Origins starring Daniel Day Lewis in his most twisted role yet

Or just a realistic CG version of Joker sold as the “live action version of Joker”.

I can’t think of many actors I wouldn’t want to see Daniel Day Lewis dramatically toss off a cliff

that antifa robin hood reboot would of been a lot better with animal puppets and guy ritchie

One possible good thing about The Joker, is that it cost like 1/5 the cost of the movies which usually do 700million or better, in worldwide box office.

The good thing being that it might start a trend of studios willing to invest in smaller stuff and/or putting financial limitations on movies, which can sometimes lead to more creativity?

Venom was also similarly cheap. However, I suspect the sequel will get a huge budget from Sony.

i don’t see anything really happening except more smaller budget comic book movies and other kinds of remakes and just making them gritter and R-rated which…eh

i mean jared leto in morbius the living vampire is a movie concept that i cannot imagine anyone actually wanting to see and basically it only has the benefit of existing in the vague sony-disney spider-man intellectual property blob

if that is a wild success then maybe out of the dozen try hard post joker/venom movies we might be lucky if one of them is fun like mystery men or something

don’t really see it affecting people with actual original non reboot/remake/adaptation ideas who want 50 million dollars

i mean i guess todd phillips probably has a blank check lol

Sony is not a rational actor and their actions cannot be used to predict what sane studios and executives do

the net result of Joker is they’re making a Joker 2

the mid-budget original drama is already dead

Can’t wait to see the little hat and shirt models they drop on reused animations from Favreau’s Jungle Book.

Apparently Frozen 2 includes a Weezer cover of a song in Frozen 2 in the credits of Frozen 2 and I am sorry I ever liked their first two albums. What have I done?

I mean, tbh, if Disney was putting down the money I’d cover a song from Frozen 2 for the credits and I can’t even play music!
