6+8 have the same fully balls out fun dumb energy if you’re that way inclined
wow no 8 is so much worse than 6
it was at least a lot better than 7
Dont’ forget about fast and furious 5. That was the first one which really kicked off this new direction of the series. and the first one with The Rock.
Its a little too indulgent on some things, at times. But it also has a bunch of fun scenes. Especially the action finale. Fun gimmick, that.
yeah 5 is good but it’s more of a heist movie than a big stupid action flick
i’m pretty sure 8 is the worst one but i have to admit i might not remember a single thing about 7
5 is best hands down imo
i like old timey heist movies, i like like the rock, and i need breaks for comedy constantly
action/adventure movies always put me to sleep unless they’re doing something over the top and silly
like constant explosions and gunfire make me drowsy
so far the action adventure movies i like are: hudson hawk and fast and furious calvin and hobbes
HOBBS AND SHAW sorry I forgot the name
It’s been downhill after 6
justin lin coming back for 9 and 10 bb
A Fast and Furious movie I would actually go see.
A friend suggested I watch Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum a while ago but I was skeptical considering it’s found footage horror. I don’t know what came over me but I was strangely in the mood for one of those and decided to give it a whirl only to be bowled over by what I saw. I - like pretty much everyone else - thought we’d exhausted all the possibilities for found footage but this movie found new ways to surprise. Towards the end it nearly reaches a point of pure abstraction which is atypical with this type of film. Overall it just feels like the filmmakers were more inspired by Kiyoshi Kurosawa and Junji Ito rather than Blair Witch which elevates it above the usual dreck.
I wonder what this movie would be like if the dude who directed Zombieland and Gangster Squad was remotely skilled at constructing scenes so it wasn’t just these islands of Tom Hard weirdness adrift in a sea of noise
confident 70% of the scipt for V E N O M was autogenerated
only 70%?
the other 30% was improvised by Tom Hardy and added back to the script to prevent WGA arbitration
“No! We do not eat policemen!”
Eddie Brock fucking sucks
the unethical meathead photographer of the comics was far more sympathetic than someone who does vice-style journalism
I’ve never actually watched F&F movies past #5.
So I’m watching 6 right now and it has a tendency to REALLY drag. The action and car moments are surprisingly sparse. Its unfortunately more of the worst parts of #5.
*I’m in the final 4th of the movie now and looks to finally be picking up again. so hopefully its gonna sustain some cool stuff.
Yeah so F&F6 was…ok. Drags way too much and the big set pieces at the end were over developed and not really much fun.
