I watched that Green Room. It’s tense as heck, it feels way longer then an hour and a half and I came out of the theater physically sore.

these last two days, my younger brother and I have watched O, BROTHER WHERE ART THOU and CAPTAIN AMERICA WINTER SOLDIER. the latter is simply the superior MCU film thus far. the former of course is an absolute joy. God. endlessly quotable, too!

I read Vern’s review for THE FLY II a while back, it doesnt seem too bad at all. If I recall, it is directed by the effects supervisor of the first film, which is honestly work of astonishing quality. I expect Id enjoy it.

Saw this Zootopia movie. The internet seems to love it and it’s something I can take my 3 year old to. It’s, I guess, more than fine? Its obligatory Kids Movie Moral is better than most, the staging (a world where all mammals evolved human-type intelligence in parallel, and a city that reflects all those required ecosystems) is fantastic, the animation is not embarrassing or notably hideous. There’s something about its pacing as a police procedural that stumbles, though, and the voice acting is… muted? Unenthusiastic? It’s hard to pin down, but the movie doesn’t feel as lively as it wants to be.
