Im of the opinion that final fantasy peaked at 6 and its just been an awkward death since
ff7 is is own island that i don’t really associate with any of the rest of the archipelago, and i maintain it’s a special kind of chaotic semi-accidental brilliance that transcends common sense and understanding of what a video game was and could be in 1997
and its remake, for the little i’ve engaged with it, basically serves to actively make weird nerds question their sexuality even more, and more successfully, than metal gear solid 2
