The original game was an interesting adventure game that was punching way above its weight on the SFC platform.

I forget the exact path that led me to Timâs writing but I think it was some one linking his Smash Bros Brawl review on Action Button.net in another gaming community forum I was at in some sort of criticism debate. It was very much at a time when I was hungry for words about what made God Hand great or how the Numbers in Dragon Quest just felt right when I didnât know where to find that kind of singular focus in game design discussion. This would eventually lead me to IC where I would absorb the scriblings and rantings of that group about certain stuff but the site was dying or already dead and eventually found selectbutton. Somewhere around the time he left kotaku for good and started branching into video content and putting a face and voice to the words and seeing what I thought was a weird character was closer to a person something started to not fit for me personally. Design talk has gotten a little more open these days and Iâm starting to find my niche a little easier these days with a little less baggage to accompany it.

i looked at his mgs2 article when everyone on the internet was calling him the f-word and thought it was p cool, and it ultimately led to me lurking ic and sb1. then he ripped a bunch of people off and went to go work for kotaku when that site was at its absolute terf-iest, and so now the only tim i worship is the tower oâ tims in balan wonderworld.

I donât even know if that counts because they have the NES and FDS versions of Metroid as separate games
on the other hand, I can listen to Zoness or Dolphin Shoals (the good part of Dolphin Shoals what plays while youâre on land) for an hour so itâs p good

Iâm really bothered by the lack of an artist credits in the playback screenshot. The assumption that I would not want to look up tracks by Hip Tanaka, or that I would not want to look up all of the musicians who worked on maybe the Splatoon games and find what other stuff theyâve done. It feels really gross
