they posted a longer video

I’m mostly interested if the not-joystick bits are actual Those Things or are doing some crazy analog stick translation under the hood

also it’s 40k yen

The price is wild so I hope this thing releases while USD exchange rates are still in my favor. I want it SO bad.

I’ve been looking for a loop lever stick for a long time. There was one a while back but I never pulled the trigger. Hard to find the originals.

I also love a good trackball. Been playing sylvalion a but with a spare logitech pc trackball but this would be much better.

I have a pre-order open for this polymega controller, but I have low expectations.

I just watched this video and now I also need one of those hori short-sleeved shirts(jacket?) with zipper! Complete with pens of course.

Feels a bit more hardware-y than input-y, but gonna throw out this question:

Any controller + keyboard + mousing solutions anyone likes? I’m guessing this’ll be a PS5 controller with a chatpad and an app that converts touchpad to mouse.

I’m going to type ā€œSteam Controllerā€ and slowly walk away from the bomb I have set

the next step down would be a Dualsense with either Steam Input, the Linux native driver or some DS4W app

or you could buy one of the billion keyboar/mouse combo units meant for insane people who want to use a computer on a TV and use it in concert with a pad, mostly because having access to a full sized keyboard is actually good

Tex makes mechanical keyboards with Thinkpad-style nipples, with Bluetooth available as an addon.

There are also various exciting and unheimlich options available if you search AliExpress or similar for ā€œred dot keyboard,ā€ but you’re in full Keyboard Pervert territory at that point.

Does anyone do Gyro controls on PC?

I’m curious if this has advanced at all. I don’t really play shooters on PC, but maybe I would?

outside of the few games that have native DS4/Dualsense support, you will absolutely have to run things though Steam to get Steam Input, at which point you are emulating mouse input, so you’ll either have to either hope that the game is fine with KBM and controller inputs at the same time or binding keyboard input manually

the only major change is that Steam Input has flick stick now, which makes the analog stick work like a dual stick shooter and you have to use gyro input for vertical aiming exclusively (so, think like how it works in Splatoon except it’s using the stick to pick the angle you’re facing instead of turning). of note, Fortnite natively supports flick stick

I feel like this should exist in the same way that high frequency noise that they use to keep kids from loitering does - if you’re over 35 your eyes slide right off this thing, it’s imperceptible.

Because I’m seeing this and every tendon and ligament in my hands are on fire. I bought an Atom just to give it a whirl and it is murder on my mitts. This is maybe a little better as it’s a little bigger, but still.

looking at the Gamecube colorway and yelling that the Y button shouldn’t be yellow and the right stick should

don’t commit halfway, cowards

This kinda looks like a smaller and maybe worse horii mini.

Because of The round shape of the lower quarters it looks like there would be too little to hold onto. Like the inside of you pointer fingers would have to do all the gripping.

But also like fuck wireless pairing

I have small hands and this looks fine to me lol

I need to see how it compares in size to the 8bitdo Lite 2 though which is my favorite mini controller

Impulse bought a pair of 2.4ghz 8bitdo m30 controllers. Idk why exactly. Maybe dual analog has too many buttons? Hopefully there aren’t any gotchas
