After a few months of of using a standalone chiclet style keyboard at work I think I might kinda like them well enough.
Anybody else feel this way and have one they recommend? Iām looking at a couple of Logitech ones that seem well reviewed.
Logitech K810 rules and lasted me for years of consistent use. I donāt know what the modern equivalent is but Iād almost rather buy a used K810 and replacement battery than try my luck with something new.
This is one Iāve been looking at. All the device-switching stuff is probably a feature Iāll get little use out of but I like the round keys.
I have this though I donāt use it much. Itās good if you want the K380 with a number pad and groove to use as a tablet stand but itās a little heavy. My favorite chiclet keyboards at any rate.
I am looking for a tenkeyless mechanical keyboard with non-BT wireless to use in my degenerate fortnite setup in front of the tv (I almost pulled my ps5 on the floor by tripping on the wired keyboardās usb cable so itās definitely time)
Big problem is that itās hard to find one with plain ol cherry browns which is the only switch that I am familiar with. So I guess I should get a tester? Thereās a million of them though and I donāt know which of them are worth my time
If someone has a keyboard rec directly being also able to use BT would be great for occasional mister admin use
This one has 2.4ghz, BT, and hotswap switches, so you can replace them at your leisure. EPOMAKER is a reputable, if gamer-y, brand, and Gateron yellows are fairly nice switches in their own right.
(I donāt even know anymore if this+Cherry replacement switches is unreasonably expensive)
you were not kidding! This thing feels like a good improvised weapon. Havenāt unboxed it yet because I havenāt had a lot of free time the past 24 hours. Looking forward to trying it out.
got hands-on with the 8bitdo ultimate controller (bluetooth and 2.4ghz (dongle in dock, hall effect sticks, two back buttons).
it is slightly less comfortable than an xbox series controller for me but on par with a switch pro.
i like the actuation force and travel of each button, notably the back buttons are lighter than others iāve tried and the bumpers are softer.
the bumpers and triggers feel most like a DS4.
dpad feels like 8bitdoās other snes-style ones.
analogs have like texture around the rim similar to an xbox one/series pad.
dock is nice and uses pogo pins.
bluetooth to a pc 2m away was rock solid.
gyro is nice coming from xinput-only pads.
Sounds like a great controller. Have you tried the Gulikit King Kong Pro 2, and if so how does it compare?
the gulikit is very close in shape to the first xbox elite controller. has metal stick tops and triggers but a mushy dpad. it also doesnāt have back buttons/paddles which are essential to me. it did have onboard macro support whereas the 8bitdo uses companion software/ios app to set profiles which are then stored onboard.
im hearing reports that this has pressure sensitive face buttons for mgs2+3 silent hill purposes??? i think it works in pcsx2 and rpcs3 as well
gdi i want to take one apart
their n64 pads were awful but it may not be possible to make a non-awful n64 pad
it canāt be worse than my creaky fourteen year old dualshock 3, right
right?
im just surprised you have one that still functions!
iāve cleaned the button membranes twice over the years and replaced the battery but the key is to never eat oranges and game
Oh yeah I probably should have put this here
The ~$14 VOYEE has worked well for me in PS3 Daytona USA so far (after finding the DS4ās shoulder buttons donāt register in that game). The face buttons are not pressure-sensitive. It has a nice feel to it, though.
yeah retro fighters have never released a decent controller imo, all of their n64 pads as well as their dc pad are ass
thanks, iāve been thinking of getting a second ps3 controller, so i can try to use sonic the fighters and the ps1 inuyasha game as gateway fighting games for someone
Whoa. So if those work, where do you go from there?
